Raymond James Appoints New Advisor Team In Portland, Maine

has expanded its management team in Portland, Maine, with the appointment of financial advisors Chris Rogers, Steve Guthrie, Dana Ricker and David Mitchell, as the firm continues its raft of recent hires. The team, also known as The Portland Harbor Group of Raymond James, joins the firm from Morgan Stanley, where they managed more than $500 million in client assets and had $3.4 million in annual fees and commissions. As the leader of The Portland Harbor Group, Rogers will focus on estate planning, wealth transfer and macroeconomic research. He began his financial career at Shearson in 1983. After several mergers, Shearson became Morgan Stanley, where Rogers remained until
joining Raymond James. Guthrie is senior vice president
of investments and in his role he will primarily on fixed income strategies and
portfolio management. He began his career at EF Hutton
and Morgan Stanley, where he worked until joining Raymond James. Ricker is vice president of investments,
specializing in financial, education and legacy planning, as well as retirement
income strategies. He began his career in 1996 at Smith Barney, which
ultimately became Morgan Stanley. Mitchell is vice president of
investments and began his career at Smith Barney in 1998. Joining the four advisors are
Lauren Schaefer-Bove, senior registered sales associate, and Zara Machatine,
sales associate. In other recent
developments, earlier this month Raymond James appointed Stephen Valelly as
senior vice president of investments in the Dallas office of Raymond James &
Associates.
